Hi, I am Sasmita Maurya, a certified resilience trainer, POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) trainer, instructional designer with more than 30 years of experience in management, teaching and online course development. I can help you to put together an engaging online course on any Learning Management Software (LMS).
Is it possible to create an engaging or immersive online training?
An online training or a virtual instructor led training(VILT) will be effective if it is not only based on the foundation of training need analysis, but also if it engages the learners by removing complexity and creating immersive learning experiences. Contact me for video based learning content (animated or text). This adds an immersive dimension to your course by showing scenarios or cases in an animated, storytelling form. I can create LMS ready eLearning courses for you with varied interactivity and learning tools.
For me training is not a job; it is my calling and passion. I am a certified management trainer, instructional designer and e-Learning content developer who can take care of your training needs. I use my vast work experience and storytelling techniques to build engaging training videos, induction modules. I create immersive videos or slides to communicate your vision, values, and codes of conduct.
There are three basic stages in creating an online training, where I can offer my specialised services.
Stage 1: You need content that addresses the training needs of both the employees and the organisation. Get in touch with me to create relevant and contemporary learning content for training your executives.
Stage 2: The content needs to be designed to produce a lucid and free flowing learning experience for the learners, which will motivate them to complete the course and absorb the intended learning objectives. I can help you to publish your instructor led training programs as self-based e-Learning modules. I transform text based training slides into story based animated videos with in-built games and quizes. This is my instructional design service. So, what is instructional design? You need to answer a few questions in this stage of course creation, which instructional designers can answer:
1. How can we make our course less complex, without compromising on the learning outcomes?
2. Do we need visuals? If yes, then what kind of visuals will facilitate the learning process?
3. Should the course be video based?
4. Can we use animated videos?
5. How much of gamification and interactivity should be included?
Stage 3: Finally, our production process will use the storyboard created in stage 2 to deliver the complete online course. My preferred authoring tools are Vyond, Articulate 360, Canva and MS PowerPoint. I conduct online/face-to-face training in soft skills, leadership skills, training for first time managers, prevention of sexual harrasment, and any other executive training program.
"You can't change the wind, but you can adjust the sail" This Arabic proverb sums up the reality of our life. Winds of change may not always be favourable and the skilled sailors know when and how to adjust their sails before admitting defeat. The skilled sailors is a metaphor for resilient individuals. Why is being resilient important? Can it be taught or developed? If yes, then how? This course will answer these questions and more, with proven, research based tools and templates, stories and practice exercise sheets.
